The main entrance smelled like mould, and sadly most of the hotel is really only 1-2 stars. Room was smelly too. Our room was very odd sized, maybe 3 by 7 m, and not handy to navigate. Bad breakfast, mostly suited for Indians but with the food too cold to eat. Bathrooms very crammed; some aids on the wall for elder people but these hindered movements for us. Staff friendly, they allowed early check-in.

I am deeply frustrated by the handling of my booking issue with Agoda and feel compelled to share my experience. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the situation, I continue to face obstacles in receiving a fair resolution. After booking a stay for April 26th - April 27th through the Agoda app, I was shocked to discover that the app had erroneously changed the dates to April 23rd - April 24th upon completing the payment. This mistake, which I did not make, has now resulted in me being asked to bear the full cost of a booking that I cannot fulfill due to the app's error. In response to my complaint, Agoda's technical team provided a dismissive reply, suggesting that I had selected the incorrect dates and directing me to the hotel for a resolution. This response is unacceptable, as it fails to acknowledge Agoda's responsibility for the error and shifts the burden onto me to negotiate with the hotel, which is unable to make amendments or cancellations according to Agoda's policies. This situation has caused me significant inconvenience and frustration, and both parties, Agoda and Hotel Chancellor seem to enjoy pushing the responsibility to each other I have made multiple calls and multiple emails to them and yet they always request that I contact the other party which is very frustrating. I have given up and have decided to just forfeit my booking of around SGD$150. This is my first time booking Hotel Chancellor and my second time using Agoda to make hotel bookings, I would highly discourage and unrecommend using them in the future as the customer service is hopeless on both end.

Exceptional Staff.....Fantastic service with genuine and honest care.....all provided with such beautiful smiles....they really looked after us.. Fantastic Room........clean and well maintained ....with the very best of views.... Location....best area...close to everything ......Orchid Road is the hub of Singapore and you are right there on the door strep Pool and facilities ......clean ........ Looking forward to returning 24 Feb 2024 ......to such great service, a great view and a clean room...... Thanks to the beautiful staff....See you soon....

was disappointed with the quality of the room and the service. The room was small and the furniture was old. The hotel is 3-star and below required level compared to the room price. The only positive thing about the hotel was the location on Orchard Street in the center of Singapore. Everything was close to me markets, shops, and restaurants. The breakfast options were also very limited and mostly Asian breakfast. I expected more variety and quality . The staff was ok. I do not think I will stay at this hotel again unless I see some changes.

I have never reviewed a place during my stay but this a first and hopefully the last. We joked about waiters spitting in our food but then realised THEY’LL ACTUALLY HAVE TO LIFT A FINGER AND WORK to make that happen. I could write an essay to describe the services and the horrors but I’ll save myself from the mind numbing experiences of last 3 days. They all have a degree in rudeness to qualify for a job here, the standard answer for every question is a NO! Can someone help with the luggage (we were a large group with seniors and kids) - reached out to the reception and he said “Not my job” (totally understand, question was can anyone help) My son is a little unwell, can I take a slice of bread and butter to the room - No, nothing goes out of the dining area Dragged my son out to the place and found only cold milk - can you please warm this a little, the answer obviously was that no we don’t give hot milk 🤷🏻‍♀️ They don’t have pool towels, asked us to use room towels then refused to give us a fresh towel on our return coz 1 day 2 towels rule … I could go on and on but I still have half a day left here and I have to deal with the Satan- the staff here so back i go! PS - read all the other reviews for the room smell and the lack of general hygiene at this place
